We invite young artists under 35 years of age, to apply their works or projects to the Supermarket of Art (im)mortal love - the international biennial, Warsaw 2007, Poland.
Idea
The Supermarket of Art Foundation organises the second international edition of the project Supermarket of Art. Our purpose is to create the program of presentation, promotion and interpretation of the contemporary art. We are addressing the program to emerging artists and already noticed artists of around many countries. The international group of experts (curators and art critics) will be involved into the realization of the project.
The title of this year's edition of the project is (im)mortal love. It refers to social, cultural and personal approaches to questions which derive from encounter of love and death. We think, that this two fundamental experiences (Eros and Thanatos) and emotions connected with them, can inspire contemporary reflection over them. We want to encourage artists to creative interpretations of this topic.
Applications
-Artists can propose works or projects carried out in any techniques.
-Deadline for applications is 30th of June 2007.
-Applications will be evaluated by the international group of experts (curators and art critics). They will chose the works and projects to the exhibition.
-The application should contain the following data: the name, the surname, the address, the phone number, the e-mail, the title of the work/project, the specification of the work or project, and the enclosed documents: CV, the substantive description and/or the additional information concerning the application (if necessary) and electronic documentation of the work or project.
-Artists can propose the any amount of works or projects. We ask to apply the separate form for every of the proposed work or project.
-Applications should be e-mail at: fundacja@supermarketsztuki.art.pl (subject: “application – biennial”) or mail: Fundacja Supermarket Sztuki, ul. Magnolii 8/2, 05-500 Jozefoslaw, Poland (with postscript "application – biennial").
