HUSZÁR, Vilmos

HUSZÁR, Vilmos Painter (Budapest 5th January, 1884 – Hardewijk [NL] ??, 1959)   Huszár conducted art studies in Budapest, Nagybánya, and abroad. Between 1902 and 1907 he exhibited paintings in a primarily naturalistic style in both the National Gallery of Hungary and the National Saloon. Later on he settled down in Holland, where he conducted work, as a member of the “de Stijl” group. Besides painting he also dealt with the preparation of building-sculptures, furniture, and glass windows. He exhibited his works at the Brooklyn Museum, in New York, in the year of 1926, then at the Andersen Gallery, Netherlands, in 1927. (translated by: Vladimir Végh)
