KERÉNYI, József Architect (Kispest, 27th November, 1939 - ) 1958-1963: Technical University of Budapest, architectural faculty; 1997: DLA; 1974: Artistic Award of the County of Bács; 1975: Miklós Ybl Award; 1984: Pro Urbe of Kecskemét; 1985: Sir Robert Matthew Diploma, the Award of the Critiques of Paris for the the best stage design of the season; 1987: Pro Merito of the Városépítés Tervező Vállalat (City Architectural Design Enterprise); 1992: Kossuth Award; International Architectural Design Award, Washington. Between 1963 and 1964 he worked at the Országos Műemlékvédelmi Felügyelőség /National Historical Building Preservation Inspectorate/. 1964-1984: BÁCSTERV, Kecskemét; 1984-1987: City Architectural Design Enterprise. He has been working at the Technical University of Budapest since 1988. In 1991 he founded the Kerényi Studió Kft. (Ltd.). He is the habilitated lecturer of the Technical University of Budapest, and the titled lecturer of the Mihály Pollack Technical College. He teaches Fundamental Architecture and Complex Surrounding Design. He is the head of the Postgraduate Master’s Program, the vice-president of the Master’s Committee of the Architectural Faculty at the Technical University of Budapest and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. He prepared the resettlement designs of the Community Center of Dunavecse (1968), holiday area in Tiszakécske, (1968), Meszes Holiday Area on the banks of the Danube in Kalocsa, (1969), Community Center of Lajosmizse, (1972) and the building in of the Homokdomb District of the city of Kecskemét.
