1954-1959: Technical University of Budapest, Architect major. Between 1959 and 1961 he was a designer for the Argoterv and Élterv; between 1961 and 1983 he was a designing architect at Iparterv. Since 1964 he has been working privately together with his wife, the architect Éva Földvári. Between 1983 and 1985 he was a founder and member of the “Studió R” architectural designing office; between 1987 and 1992 he worked at the KÁVA Architectural Firm; since 1992 he has been the managing director of the architectural firm named Kévés és Építésztársai Rt. Between 1963 and 1976 he was an guest lecturer at the Technical University of Budapest; between 1974 and 1984 he taught at the master school of the Society of Hungarian Architectural Artists. Kévés was a guest lecturer at the St. Louis Washington University in 1981, 1983 and 1991. He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Architectural Artists and of Architectural Chamber of Budapest. 1973: Ybl Award; 1986: Architectural Standard Award. He presently lives in Budapest. From the 1960’s onwards he designed a number of family houses, which, with there terraced structured harmoniously fitted their surroundings on the slopes of the hills in Buda. In 1970, together with his designer team, he developed a steel framed light structured architectural system, with which a number of buildings, primarily schools, were constructed. These buildings with their clear structural ideas, and rational base drawing placement are outstanding examples of Hungarian architecture during the course of the 1970’s. During the course of the past few years his architectural work has widened to the reconstruction of historical buildings and districts through his renovation projects, in both Budapest and a number of smaller cities in Hungary. He won a number of prizes at different architectural tenders (e.g.: design for the National Theater, Expo).
