1962–1967: College of Applied Arts of Budapest, master: András Farkas Dózsa; 1980, 1984, and 1985: the Standard Award for Industrial Design; 1986: Munkácsy Award; 1990: András Farkas Dózsa Award; Awards of the International Fair of Budapest; Art Organizational Award; 1978: the founder and organizing secretary of the Workshop of Zsennye. 1978-1986: the secretary of the Society of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists, he became the vice president thereof between 1986 and 1988. Lelkes was the initiator of the organization of the Hungarian Chamber of Design (which was not realized). He also dealt with art organizational activities, as well as applied graphics. In the field of industrial and artistic design he prepares works, which search for unique technical innovations.
