1989-92: Magyar Képzőművészeti Főiskola, festő szak, mestere: Klimó Károly; 1992-93: New York Studio School of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture. New Yorkban él. Rita Ackermann művésznévvel New Yorkban bekerült a huszonéves művészek egy radikális csoportjába, akiknek művészete a divat és a képzőművészet határterületén mozgott és annak kliséit rombolta. Szoros kapcsolatot tartott az experimentális zenével, és felvállaltan viselt „outsider” jegyeket. 1993-94-ben festett, a gyerekrajzok, a negédes giccs és a „bad painting” elemeit használó festménysorozata, az egyik vezető New York-i galériában Andrea Rosen Gallery való bemutatkozás révén, egycsapásra ismert művésszé tette. Narratív, autobiografikus és terapikus jellegű festményein bájos kislányok szexuálisan kiszolgáltatott, brutalizált élethelyzeteit, a perifériára való sodródás elemeit és kilátástalanságát mutatja be. Ezeket a napló-szerű munkákat könyv formában is megjelentette. Később családi fotókról készített festmény másolatokat, majd pszichedelikus látomásokat a populáris kultúra elemeivel ötvöző golyóstoll-rajzokat. 1998-ban nagyméretű, harsány színvilágú, erőteljes gesztusokkal festett falfestményekkel jelentkezett.
